Carol Waite is the Brush Strokes Gallery Featured Artist for the month of October. The opening was held on Friday, October 3rd from 6 – 9. She will be showing a dozen of her Sumi-e, Oriental brush stroke, paintings featuring landscape scenes as well as her trademark flowers and birds. She has also included some of her many ink painting of horses. Since Carol grew up in post-war Japan, this medium was a natural for her with her Asian background and interest in nature. She will also have copies of her book, "Taken in Hong Kong, December 8, 1941," available at the gallery to sign.
