D. Elen Grigg
From her youth, Elen aspired to be an artist. Nevertheless, along the way from California to Washington, DC, Elen worked for the government. Her dreams, though, remained the same.
She moved to Fredericksburg to become a farm girl, raising quarter horses for a time. But now she is back to her first love--working as an artist.
Her love for art began early in life, and she received her formal training at the La Jolla Art Institute and Orange Coast College in California.
Married to a Marine, raising a family and working for the Deapartment of Justice, she managed to continue exploring her art over the years.
Most recently, she began using watercolor, and now she says, "Watercolor is my favorite media."
