RR Christensen

The vivacious RR Christensen, known affectionately as Rachel by her friends, is rapidly making her name in the art world.

Indeed, gallery guests certainly note that even Rachel's smaller works pack a pint-sized punch.

And that's no surprise.  While she was yet an art student at Brigham Young University, her work began to draw attention on an even larger stage.

In fact, she was the recipient of the National Portrait Society of America Conference Scholarship in 2019 and received an Educational Grant for her art that year as well. 

In addition, she studied under internationally known artist, Casey Childs in 2018.

Since university, Rachel and her work have continued to garner attention.  Most recently, she received an honorable mention for her painting exhibited in the Fredericksburg for Creative Arts' "Force of Nature" exhibit.

Yet, although Rachel's work most certainly demonstrates her commitment to excellence, it is, perhaps, Rachel's passion for fine art that truly engages her fans.

"My interest in representational work stems from a strong belief that there is deep and baffling beauty in everything, if only we take the time to look a little closer, slow down, and appreciate it," Rachel says.  

And anyone familiar with Rachel's work will concur and simply add that her paintings certainly encourage her collectors to do just that: to slow down and appreciate the beauty in everything.
