Trish Vermillion
Trish began her artistic pursuits as a vocalist. She pursued music in college; Her extraordinary talent earned her a voice scholarship and a BA degree.
However, with training at the Corning Museum of Glass and studies under several successful artists, Trish found herself drawn to fine art and soon added "artist" to her list of achievements.
She began painting porcelain in 2001 and attended two summers at the Louisiana School of Porcelain. In addition, she plunged into painting sessions at the Georgia Seminars by the Sea.
Throughout her art career, she has studied with several esteemed porcelain artists including Jane Marcks, Shirley Dyer Weston, Mariela Kaminski, Filipe Periera, Joerge Kugglemeir, Nancy Bergman, Mary Gosden and several others.
Trish is a member of the International Porcelain Painters and Teachers (IPAT) and the World Organization of China Painters (WOCP).
Currently, she is a member of the Northern Virginia Porcelain Painters’ Club.
She is also a former officer of the Local Color Artist in Destin, Florida and the Crestview China Painters.
She served as Treasurer of the Virginia World Organization of China Painters and Treasurer for the WOCP International Show and Exhibition in 2016 in Fredericksburg.
Trish is the founder of the Virginia Heritage China Painters. Trish has participated in Arts Quest in San Destin, Florida as well as the Mattie Kelley art show.
More recently, she has exhibited at The Workhouse Arts Center and the Glen Allen Center for the Arts.
Trish strives to create artwork that provokes a unique sensory and emotional experience with each and every encounter.
