Artist Carol Haynes created a touching portrait of Elka, a Norwegian Elkhound. Caroline Fernan commissioned the portrait of their beloved pet as a surprise birthday present for her husband Brian. On a recent visit to Brush Strokes, Caroline noted the pet portraits Carol does, and decided it was time to have one of Elka, who passed away 16 years ago. Now they smile and remember happy memories of their pet whenever they pass her portrait.
